Theory Plus

Theory  is an important area in having a thorough understanding of what you are playing.

In the early stages of learning to play piano, theory will go hand in hand with piano lessons.

 

As the student becomes more advanced, theory becomes more specialized and the student who wants their theoretical knowledge to grow alongside their technical skills will need to commit extra time to this area.

Jo has a fast track theory course available for teens and adults who are able to study independently.

 

Musicianship is kind of like a bridge between theory and aural development,  following a similar syllabus to musical theory, with an emphasis on aural aspects.

 

Generally Jo incorporates all 3 areas into her classes as well as offering them as separate and individual areas of study.
